Information

The article describes instructions to assign dedicated Parallels Virtuozzo Containers server or Parallels Plesk Panel to reseller. Dedicated server allows reseller to use it for subscriptions of the resellers' customers.

Virtuozzo Node

For assigning Parallels Virtuozzo Container server to reseller, provider should have 'Virtuozzo Dedicated Node' Hosting Plan and server to be allocated for reseller.

  1. Create Hosting Plan based on 'Virtuozzo Dedicated Node' hosting plan type:
PBAS Provider CP > Billing Director > Product Manager > Hosting Plans > New Hosting Plan > Virtuozzo Dedicated Node (under Hosting Plans purchased by resellers)

  2. Assign Parallels Virtuozzo Containers server to reseller, by updating server property and subscribing them to appropriate Hosting Plan.
PBAS Provider CP > Service Director > Virtuozzo Manager > Nodes > New Node or select the existing one > switch to 'General Settings' tab > select "Owner"  > select 'Assign Hardware Node to an existing subscription' or 'Create a new subscription based on this hosting plan'
Once order is processed and subscription is activated, reseller will see the node in Reseller CP.

Parallels Plesk Panel Node

For assigning Parallels Plesk Panel server to reseller, provider must have 'Plesk Dedicated Node' Hosting Plan and server with Plesk for assigning to reseller. Alternatively, it is possible to create and assign Container with Parallels Plesk Panel to reseller.

  1. Create Hosting plan based on 'Plesk Dedicated Node' hosting plan type:
PBAS Provider CP > Billing Director > Product Manager > Hosting Plans > New Hosting Plan > Plesk Dedicated Node (under Hosting Plans purchased by resellers).

  2. Assign Parallels Plesk Panel server to Reseller by updating server properties and subscribing them to the appropriate Hosting Plan:
PBAS Provider CP > > Service Director > Plesk Manager > Nodes > New Node or select the existing one > switch to 'General Settings' tab > select 'Owner' > select 'Assign Hardware Node to an existing subscription' or 'Create a new subscription based on this hosting plan'.
Once order is processed and subscription is activated, reseller will see the node in Reseller CP.

There is also an option in PBAS to create 'Plesk Virtual Node' Hosting Plan and create subscription for the reseller based on it. In this case, a new Container will created on Virtuozzo Hardware node of provider and selected Parallels Plesk Panel templates will be installed into it. This container will be registered as new Plesk hardware node to reseller automatically.

Note for both cases.  It is allowed to change owner in the following cases only:
  • It is a brand new node just being registered in PBAS (through Nodes > New Node).
  • The node has been registered already and there are no any domains/clients or containers on it including conflict resolver. If there is at least one Plesk domain or container – owner selection option will be grayed out.
