This article describes general recommendations on how to upgrade a Virtuozzo Containers node registered in OBAS to a new version or to Virtuozzo (ex-PCS).

Remember: for containers provisioning a Virtuozzo node should be registered under "Virtuozzo Manager".

  1. Upgrade OBAS to the latest version.

  2. Disable OBAS synchronization with the Virtuozzo server you are going to upgrade. This is required for avoid unnecessary communication during upgrade procedure. This can be done by unregistering the node.

    PCC > Service Director > Virtuozzo Manager > Nodes > %node% > General Settings > Unregister

    The Virtuozzo server registration status will be set to "Unregistered".

  3. Perform the Virtuozzo server upgrade according to the instructions from one of these KB articles:

  4. Refresh information about the Virtuozzo node in OBAS.

    Change the registration status to "Registered" by pressing the "Register" button in the Virtuozzo server properties on the "General Settings" tab:

    PCC > Service Director > Virtuozzo Manager > Nodes > %node% > General Settings > Register

    With this step OBAS retrieves information from the Virtuozzo server.
