A customer want to create new Virtual Environment in their POA PACI subscription. They log into POA Customer Control Panel and go to Cloud Infrastructure > New Server.
The option 'I will manage the OS kernel' is absent in CCP, which means customer cannot choose type of Virtual Environment to be created - Container or Virtual Machine.
The limits on PACI resources do not allow to select type of Virtual Environment to create.
E.g. if subscription has zero limits on the following resources then the option 'I will manage the OS kernel' will not be displayed in POA Customer Control Panel:
- CI Container CPU Usage running
- CI Container CPU Usage stopped
The same problem will happen if limits on the following resources are set to 0:
- CI Virtual Machine CPU Usage running
- CI Virtual Machine CPU Usage stopped
The point is that both types of Virtual Environment require CPU resources to work and if limits on CPU resources are set to zero it will be impossible to create the new Virtual Environment.
Correct Resource Rates in PBA Service Plans on the problem resources and synchronize customer's subscription with the plan.
