(06) Installation instructions
**********************************************************************

1) Prepare a clean Parallels Virtuozzo Containers container or dedicated physical server with a supported OS. See the list of supported OSes in Chapter (02) Prerequisites.

2) Prepare for Parallels Business Automation installation.

Two types of installation are available:

  * Over network:

      Download the autoinstaller from the Parallels server.
      Autoinstaller is located in the Parallels Business Automation distribution's root directory and is named "install.sh."

  * Using tarball

      Download the tarball with the Parallels Business Automation distribution named "pbas-4.2.2-03.tar."

      Unpack the archive:
        # tar xf pbas-4.2.2-03.tar
        # cd pbas-4.2.2-03

3) Start the installation process.

  * Attended mode:
      # sh install.sh

  * Unattended mode:
      # sh install.sh -C

4) If the auto-installer has been started in attended mode, then follow the wizard. If it is running in unattended mode, wait for the result of the installation.

5) If the installation fails, check "/tmp/product_installer.log" for problem details and possible resolutions. Please contact support for assistance in resolving any problems (do not forget to send installer log files along with the problem description).

6) When installation is complete, the login to Parallels Business Automation - Standard Provider Control Center will be both shown on the screen and sent to the user "root" email. Use this login information to start working with Parallels Business Automation - Standard.

(07) Upgrade instructions
**********************************************************************

1) Create a full backup of the PBA-S container and the container where the PBA-S database is located.

2) Make sure that the connection to MySQL with root privileges can be established.

  If MySQL root's password is set for the root user, or your MySQL server is located on another host, do the following:
  * Open the configuration file in a text editor as root (create a file, if necessary):

      # vi /root/.my.cnf

  * Make sure it contains the following data, or add it, replacing <root_password> with the MySQL root password and <mysql_host> with the MySQL server location (e.g., localhost):

      [client]
      password=<root_password>
      host=<mysql_host>

3) Prepare for the Parallels Business Automation upgrade.

    * Download the tarball with the Parallels Business Automation distribution named "pbas-4.2.2-03.tar."

    * Unpack the archive:
        # tar xf pbas-4.2.2-03.tar
        # cd pbas-4.2.2-03

4) Start the upgrade process.

     * Run installer
      # sh install.sh

     * Follow the wizard.

5) Update the OS of the PBA-S server according to this article: https://kb.odin.com/8993.

***********************************************************************
(08) Known problems and limitations
***********************************************************************
1) Parallels Plesk Panel 10 template installation takes a long time.
   To install these templates by means of Parallels Business Automation - Standard, increase the timeout in the file /etc/hspc/hspc.conf LONG_TIMEOUT, setting it to 3,600 or higher.
2) Windows 2008 containers on PVC 4.6 and PP 10.3 now require a high-security password. Please adjust the PBA-S password setting at Configuration Director > Security Manager > Setup:
   - "The minimal permitted password length" cannot be shorter than 8 symbols.
   - Enable: The password should contain both lower-case and upper-case symbols.
   - Enable: The password should contain special symbols.
3) To work with standard templates and WACP, the compatibility hotfix for PVA Agent should be installed: https://kb.odin.com/111609.
4) If you are going to publish SiteBuilder sites to a PVC 4.6 container, you need to install the compatibility hotfix for PVA Agent (https://kb.odin.com/111609) and connect this PVC node to PBA-S using the "vzagent0" login.
5) Please note that if you enable the Consolidated invoice feature, customers' services will be renewed without payments. Please check the account balances for customers who have this feature enabled to prevent unpaid service usage.
6) "MyCP" legacy control panel is no longer supported.
