Symptoms

A customer assigned Plesk hosting on the domain. However, Operations Automation failed to provision the domain to Plesk. The domain is Not in sync and the domain status is Failed to Add.

The following error is shown near the domain status:

Plesk License is not installed (1024 : There are no available resources of this type (domains) left. Requested: 1; available: 0. )

Cause

There is a problem with the Plesk license. There are several possible reasons for this:

  • The license has expired.
  • The license was never installed.
  • The maximum number of domains has been reached.

Resolution

To be able to add a domain with Plesk hosting, a valid license must be installed to Plesk panel.

Log in to Plesk and check the status of the license via Plesk > Tools & Settings > License Management.

If the installed license has expired, you can try to update it by pressing the Retrieve key button on the License Management page. Plesk will connect to the Key Administrator server and refresh the license.

If the license is not installed, you must download and install it to Plesk: go to Operations Automation Customer CP > Billing > Subscription Management, select Vituozzo containers subscription with Plesk, switch to the Licenses tab, select the Plesk license, press the Download button to download the license and install the downloaded license to Plesk panel.

If the maximum number of domains has been reached, the Plesk license should be upgraded: in such case go to Operations Automation Customer CP > Billing > Subscription Management, select a Vituozzo containers subscription with Plesk, switch to the Licenses tab, select the Plesk license, click Upgrade license, place the order for the larger domain limit, install the new license in Plesk.

If all above was checked and Plesk is still being re-initialized with incorrect license, re-install it on the provisioning (OA) side by performing the following actions:

  1. Find subscription with corresponding Plesk license on BA side: Services -> Licenses -> Subscription id
  2. Click Install License.

After that new license will be propagated to OA and re-initialization will work correctly.
