SymptomsA customer has a subscription with Parallels Virtuozzo Containers (PVC) container hosting. The Parallels Plesk Panel (PP) application template is installed inside of the container. However, PP is not shown in the left navigation menu of the Customer CP.
An example of the issue is depicted in this picture:
CauseThere is no resource for PP in the customer's subscription, or its limit is set to 0.
ResolutionIf the service template is designed for PVC containers with Parallels Plesk Panel software, the template should include the special resource Parallels Plesk Panel. Refer to the article below to find resources necessary for inclusion in the service template:
Top > Operations Director > Subscription Manager > Subscriptions > select subscription > switch to the Resources tab > check the limit of the resource "Parallels Plesk Panel."
If the resource "Parallels Plesk Panel" does not exist in the subscription, or its limit is equal to 0, do the following:
Add the Parallels Plesk Panel resource to the service template:
Top > Service Director > Provisioning Manager > Service Templates > select service template on which subscription is based > add the resource "Parallels Plesk Panel" with a limit of 0 or 1.
To be able to add a new resource to the service template, it must first be deactivated. Do not forget to reactivate it after the modification.
Note: The Parallels Plesk Panel resource type must be based on the Parallels Plesk Panel resource class. This is a special resource class that allows you to manage Parallels Plesk Panel on the PVC container subscription.
Add the resource rate for the Parallels Plesk Panel resource in the PBA-E service plan and set the included amount to 1:
Top > Product Director > Plan Manager > Service Plan > select service plan for the PVC container hosting with Parallels Plesk Panel > add resource rate and set the included amount to 1.
- Synchronize the newly added resource rate.
