1. Stop the virtual machine, and add the COM port as shown in this picture:

NOTE: Your Parallels Management Console may look differently, depending on its version, but the procedure remains the same.

2. Enable "Select boot device on startup" in 
Configure > Hardware > Boot Order, and click the Start button to start the virtual machine. Then click inside the VM window.

3. Press the space bar when you see the MacOS boot screen:

4. Press the space bar once again on the next screen to get the boot options prompt boot:.

5. Type in -v debug=0x56e as shown in the below picture, and hit Enter:

6. The debug output can now be observed in the serial.txt file in the virtual machine directory:

The next time that the kernel panic message appears, you will have the exact code needed to search the debug output.
