Resolution

The instruction below describes the way to enable sw-engine support on NG Hosting web cluster registered in POA 5.1. sw-engine is necessary for Parallels Automation for Web Presence installation.

  • Install the sw-engine RPM package on each web server (the RPM package is stored in POA YUM repository):
    • # yum remove MySQL4-client
    • # yum install sw-engine.x86_64
  • Set up sw-engine as PHP engine on each web server of cluster:
    • # cd /var/www/cgi-bin/
    • # mkdir sw-engine
    • # cd sw-engine/
    • # ln -s /usr/bin/sw-engine-cgi php
    • # ln -s /usr/libexec/php5-cgi/etc/php.ini php.ini
  • Install POA package sw-engine on web cluster. On POA Management Node execute the following command:
    • # /usr/local/pem/bin/ppm_ctl install <cluster-id> <sw-engine-rhel-5-package-id> cgi.directory=/var/www/cgi-bin/sw-engine cgi.executable=php
  • Synchronize extensions of Apache service on web cluster in POA Provider Control Panel at Deployment Director > Server Manager > Web Clusters > select cluster > Apache Extensions tab.
