  • Plesk 10.x for Windows

Symptoms

Parallels Plesk Panel 8.x/9.x and Parallels Plesk SiteBuilder 4.5 were installed on the same server and Sitebuilder support was enabled for Plesk domains. Sites were opened in Sitebuilde Wizard through

Parallels Plesk Panel > Domains > domain.tld > Edit in Sitebuilder

After upgrading Parallels Plesk Panel to version 10.x/11.x clients cannot open their old sites when click "Edit the site in Web Presence Builder". New site is opened. Why?

Cause

Parallels Plesk Panel 10.x/11.x is shipped with compoment Web Presence Builder 10.x/11.x which is not compatible with Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder 4.5. Sites upgrade is not possible.

Resolution

If Parallels Plesk SiteBuilder 4.5 was previously integrated with Parallels Plesk Panel 8.x/9.x and Sitebuilder support was enabled for Plesk domain, the button "Edit the site in SiteBuilder 4 or Site Editor" will be available in the Control Panel for the domain.

There are two buttons: "Edit the site in Web Presence Builder" which lead to new Wizard with new site and "Edit the site in Sitebuilder 4 or Site Editor" which leads to old site.

NOTE: This is true when Parallels Plesk Panel 8.x/9.x and Parallels Plesk SiteBuilder 4.5 are installed on the same server. Integration is not saved if you migrate a domain from Parallels Plesk Panel 8.x/9.x to another installation of Parallels Plesk Panel 10.x/11.x.
